How does Purpy decide if two products match?+
A rule-based scoring engine compares the details that define a product — brand, size, ABV, variant and edition. High-confidence matches are accepted automatically; anything uncertain is passed to AI verification rather than assumed.
What happens to uncertain matches?+
Medium-confidence matches are double-checked by AI. Clear cases are confirmed automatically; borderline ones are escalated to a second, stronger model for a final verdict. Only confirmed matches feed your comparison and exports.
Which competitor sites do you monitor?+
Purpy monitors a growing list of Romanian drinks retailers, each connected through its own dedicated gateway — WooCommerce, PrestaShop and Shopify storefronts included. You choose which of them to track from your control panel; contact us and we'll confirm which ones are relevant for your catalog.
Is Purpy only for spirits?+
Today Purpy focuses on Romanian spirits and drinks — including wine and beer — because matching there is genuinely hard. The same engine and gateway system are built to extend to more categories and markets over time.
How often are prices updated?+
Scraping runs on a daily schedule — it's a batch process, not real-time. Your comparison reflects the data collected at the last scheduled scrape.
